CITY OF GODS WITH CONBUD

on October 25th and 26th over 12,000 party-goers  flocked to  Industry City for the City of Gods  halloween weekend. the sold out, two day festival included dynamic art installations,  trance-inducing DJ sets, lazer light shows, and more—including the FLAMER X CONBUD activation.

FLAMER, NYC’s premier queer-owned cannabis brand, partnered with CONBUD dispensaries, operated by justice-impacted individuals,  to bring Dia De Los Muertos to the City of Gods. Jesse Hepworth, the mastermind behind our giant red joink, designed a stunning Ofrenda and photo booth for guests to capture the night. attendees  gathered underneath our custom papel picados designed by Paloma Huntington-Ortega and reflected  on their past by  writing notes of gratitude to their ancestors like the indigenous Mexican and Central American tradition.  we wanted to honor icons in queer history and cannabis justice reform who have passed on our Ofrenda: Cecilia Gentili, Marsha P. Johnson, Brownie Mary, Chino Garcia, and Mickey Cesar (the pope of dope). additionally we got into the Halloween spirit by giving out candy bags  and cards designed by HAZYL with info on FLAMER and CONBUD—for those who are new to the hot side of legal cannabis (;

check out the photobooth pics of the insane costumes of night one partiers shot by Justin Wee. and perhaps there’s a behind-the-scenes-of-building-the-city video coming soon ;)
