Honoring Cecilia Gentili
as part of our ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting queer causes, this month we (FLAMER and our farmer partner, Jane’s Garden) are donating 10% of the sales of our new pre-roll blend, ‘post nut clarity’ (P.N.C.), to the Transmission Festival. Transmission Festival, founded by Cecilia Gentili, was NYC’s first trans music festival, showcasing the beauty, power, and talent of the trans community. the proceeds of this festival will benefit Black Trans Liberation Kitchen, Queer Art, Colectivo Intercultural Trangrediendo
ABOUT CECILIA GENTILI
earlier this year, we lost a pillar to our community
born in Argentina, Cecilia faced numerous challenges growing up as a transgender woman. she moved to the United States seeking a safer and more accepting environment. over the years, Cecilia became a powerful voice for transgender rights, dedicating her life to advocating for the health, safety, and dignity of transgender individuals
she worked in various capacities to uplift and support the transgender community, including serving as the Director of Policy at GMHC (Gay Men's Health Crisis) and founding Transgender Equity Consulting, an organization that provides education and policy guidance on transgender issues. her efforts made a significant impact on policies and practices affecting the lives of countless transgender people in New York
“Some people believe that in respecting my rights, they will lose some of their own. But equality is an endless cake. The more who eat from it, the more there is to share.”
-Cecilia Gentili
