rob truglia, 34 (he/him)
queer, italian, witchy, joy, ritual.
co-creator of the pasta tarot with jeff petriello, and illustrations by lindsay mound. by day he is a creative marketing consultant, by night the camp italian drag queen of your dreams, issa mia mario. the pasta tarot was cooked up after seeing a hunky italian on the beach and proclaiming "gnocchi!" it was then we realized pasta shapes carried meaning for us outside our bellies. combining that insight with our knowledge of the traditional tarot and our queer italian-american identity, we've concocted a deck to spread joy, love, and provide insight into life's mysteries. “in the pasta tarot—the italian nonno, the nail artist, the mob boss, the pizza boy, and the thot on the beach all accept & complement each other. italian-american culture can be very patriarchal and conservative, so we had a lot of fun creating our queer italian-american fantasy.”
